Facing Addiction in America: The 2017 Surgeon General's Report
Have you seen the first-ever Surgeon General's Report on Addiction, Facing Addiction in America? Published earlier this year, the report highlights the importance of prevention and presents recommendations regarding best practices. Use of alcohol among Vermont high school students decreased significantly in the past two years, according to the newly released 2015 Vermont Youth Risk Behavior Survey. In 2013, nearly 60 percent of high school students reported ever drinking alcohol. In 2015, that figure dropped to 56 percent. Read all the results here: http://healthvermont.gov/research/yrbs/2015/
The Vermont Department of Health and key stakeholders conducted this Health Impact Assessment of the possible effects that could result from regulating and taxing adult marijuana use on the health of Vermonters.
